“Sophisticated dance electronic music”

Elektronická hudba nemá hranice a Himalayan Dalai Lama jsou toho bezpochyby důkazem. Kryštof Matěj a David Novotný kombinují ve své tvorbě prvky chillwave, ambientu, triphopu i techna. Himalayan Dalai Lama byli součástí uznávaného projektu Českého rozhlasu Audioport, zahráli si také po boku velkých jmen světové elektronické scény, jako je například Slow Magic, Kiasmos, Erol Alkan a další. Co se týče živého vystupování mají za sebou úspěšnou tour po střední Evropě, představili se také v Londýně nebo na největším tuzemském festivalu Colours of Ostrava. V roce 2016 kromě vydání debutové desky dokázali vyhrát exportní soutěž Radia Wave Czeching a jako zástupci české elektronické scény se na začátku roku 2017 zúčastnili jednoho z největších showcaseových festivalů na světě Eurosonic Noorderslag.

Electronic music knows no boundaries as Himalayan Dalai Lama clearly shows. The duo's origins are a lot closer than their name suggests. Hailing from Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, Kryštof Matej and David Novotný are adepts at the downtempo arts of chillwave, ambient, triphop and techno. Himalayan Dalai Lama was part of the famous Czech Radio project Audioport and the duo has performed alongside Slow Magic, Kiasmos, Erol Alkan and others at the biggest Czech music festival Colours of Ostrava. Himalayan Dalai Lama have won the music export project "Czeching" powered by Czech Radio's youth station Radio Wave. In the beginning of the year 2017 they performed at Eurosonic Noorderslag, one of the biggest showcase festivals in the world.
